Rust to Restoration: Incredible Before & After of Frame Repair

The frame of a vehicle acts as its skeleton, providing structural support and stability. Our frame repair process guarantees that the vehicle’s structural integrity is restored, which is crucial for achieving optimal performance.

A damaged frame can be repaired, and a rusted frame can be restored. However, before removing rust, the frame must be accessed to be sure that the damaged frame doesn’t present a safety issue. If rust compromises a vehicle’s structure, there could be catastrophic failure during routine driving.

At BDR Automotive we will examine your frame to assess the damage and give you an estimate for the repair. The cost to repair a damaged frame or remove rust from the frame can vary, depending on the severity of the damage.

If your vehicle’s frame is rusted or broken, BDR can fix it!

BDR Automotive repairs almost any frame or axle that is rusted or broken – from cracked sway bar mounts to complete frame replacements. The vehicles we see the most for rust frame repair are Toyota’s and jeeps but we can handle any vehicle. We’ve had remarkable success even when the rust has gone completely through the box frame, drastically weakening its structural integrity.

Clean metal means solid welds, so we begin by cutting away rotted sections and cleaning the areas where welding will take place. After cleaning the rusted frame, the new fabricated sections are installed around the frame and welded in.

Differential repair – An example

BDR Automotive successfully repaired a rear differential case when it was rotted through and leaking. It might have been a lost cause, but BDR was able to remove the rotted section to make way for some off-road technology upgrades. A brand new and improved heavy duty cover was welded in – much thicker than factory, and made to last without fear of rot, rust, or leaks!
